The Chisinau Theoretical Lyceum “Academy of Children” organized a charity event for 20 children of the Straseni boarding school. During a day, the children visited the Puppet Theater “Licurici” and the Botanical Garden in Chisinau. They took part in different interactive activities together with fellows from the lyceum. Students of the lyceum gave a concert for children from the boarding school, who in the end received diplomas, candies and other presents, IPN reports.

The teacher who accompanied the children from the boarding school Maria Zubcu said that it was an impressive day for them as they were able to communicate and exchange experience. “These are very nice impressions. It is an unforgettable day as they took part in all the activities together and were at the same level. This visit will have positive effects as the children saw that there are no differences,” stated the teacher.

The children from the boarding school cut stands for pens in the form of lions together with their fellows. Petru Turcan said that this activity will be useful in the future as they will be able to make other stands and to offer them as presents. He also said he liked very much the play “The ugly duck” and the flowers at the Botanical Garden.

Another boarding school student Mihaela Lacatus said it’s not for the first time that she visited Chisinau, but this day was one of the most beautiful. “I met very good and sociable children who were very kind to us. We made many friends. I hope we will come again here,” said Mihaela.

Fourth grader Andreea Crijanosvschi said the day was a success as the students smiled and were in high spirits. “I would like to see their school and would give money for its reconstruction so that it is nicer. I want to help them” she stated.

Principal of the Theoretical Lyceum “Academy of Children” Nina Horjan said that this charity event is important especially because it was held before the winter holidays. ”We aimed to ensure communication between the children. The students of the lyceum were very anxious before this visit. They prepared a concert. The children from the boarding school were as nervous and practically didn’t sleep. When they see the joy and smiles of these children, the lyceum students are happier. Such days teach everyone to be better,” she stated.

Nina Horjan added that the lyceum students will go on a visit to the Straseni boarding school. In 2014, the lyceum intends to organize other charity events.
