2 children, 1 grownup drown

A brother and a sister aged 13 and 9 lost their lives drowning in a lake near Taraclia de Salcie village of Cahul district. The tragedy happened on July 5, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Dorina Cruc, a press officer with the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the children were playing on an improvised raft. Suddenly they lost their balance and fell into the water. Fellow villagers jumped to rescue them, but failed. The children were dead when were taken out of the water. The same day, on the bank of the lake near La Izvor Park from Chisinau, the body of a man aged 25-30 was found. His identity is being established. “He has no signs of violent death. He's as tall as 1.75 -1.80 m, dark hair and wore swimming glasses,” says the press officer of the Chisinau Police Commissariat, Tudor Capatana. Chisinau deputy mayor Vlad Cotet, at today's staff sitting of the city hall, urged the population to refrain from bathing in Chisinau lakes, or to do so only on special beaches. The call has been made after a corpse was found last Friday in a lake in Chisinau. It's not known when that person died, but the body stood in the water for several days.
