High school graduates looking to apply to an Educational Sciences program will be offered over 2,500 state-subsidized places, a doubled monthly stipend (3,460 lei in the final year), modern curricula, and dormitories at attractive rates. This is how the Ministry of Education and Research seeks to attract more specialists to the education system, with 1,879 teaching positions being currently vacant.

Collegium graduates pursuing pedagogy will be offered opportunities, including over 300 subsidized places in part-time education, a duration of studies shortened by one year, and also dormitory accommodation while they study and work.

In the first 5 years of their career, pedagogy graduates taking up the available vacancies will receive an allowance of 200,000 lei, in the case of university graduates, and 160,000 lei for collegium graduates. Also, the teaching load for young teachers will be reduced to 75% in the first 5 years, and they will be offered 4,000 lei each year to buy didactic materials and equipment.

For those willing to choose teachership in rural or provincial schools, housing allowances and energy bill support will be available. Also, young specialists will enjoy 62-day vacations, mentor assistance during the first 5 years, and other facilities.

The initiatives of the Ministry, as well as the vacant teaching positions in general education, were presented during an event held at the Alexei Mateevici Collegium in Chisinau. “Now is the time to make a decision, and we strive to create better conditions for your decision to be a simpler one.
