About 4,000 registration forms were completed at the Municipal Centre for Adult Learning and Education from June to December last year and approximately 1,900 citizens attended personal, professional and civic education courses and activities provided free of charge, IPN reports.
Among the most popular courses were those in the English and Italian languages, basics of project writing, fashion design and modeling, digital skills development, photography, 1C accounting, business launch, oratorical art, etc.
“The Chisinau City Hall is decided, together with its development partners DVV Moldova, to continue the activity and develop the Center in order to increase the number of beneficiaries and the diversity of programs. The Municipal Center for Adult Learning and Education will remain a public institution open to everyone and every adult, residents of Chisinau, who aspire to meet their learning needs and change their lives for a better future, through permanent education and development, regardless of the social status and education,” reads a press release.
The Center is based on the memorandum on mutual understanding and cooperation concluded between the Chisinau City Hall and the Representative Office of the German Adult Education Association in the Republic of Moldova, AO “DVV International Moldova”, to achieve the fourth goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, namely to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Currently, 150 people are attending courses within the programs of the Municipal Center for Adult Learning and Education, which are held two-three times a week.
