A man aged 19 died when the car in which he traveled skidded off the road and turned upside down. The driver of the same age was in an advanced state of inebriation. The accident occurred between Cobusca Nouă and Cobusca Veche villages of Anenii Noi district.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Anenii Noi Police Inspectorate Mariana Didenco said the car was heading for Cobusca Nouă. The driver didn’t obey the traffic rules and lost control of the car. The vehicle overturned and rolled over for several times, on a distance of about 20 meters.
The 19-year-old passenger died on the way to the hospital.
The Drager device showed the driver had 0.58 mg/l of alcohol in the exhaled air, which means an advanced state of inebriation. This faces a maximum jail term of seven years and ban on driving.
