Nineteen vocational-technical education institutions will receive over 32 million lei for the modernization of educational infrastructure and the improvement of student conditions. The beneficiary schools were selected through a competitive process after reviewing 99 submitted projects, according to the Ministry of Education and Research, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry, the funding will be used for dormitory renovations, with a focus on modernizing sanitary facilities and increasing energy efficiency. Other institutions will allocate the funds for the renovation of classrooms, laboratories, and practical training workshops. These spaces will be equipped with modern furniture, specialized equipment, and advanced technologies.

A portion of the funding will be dedicated to thermal insulation of buildings, modernization of lighting systems, and the installation of renewable energy sources (solar panels, efficient heating systems). These measures aim to reduce the operational costs of the institutions and contribute to a more sustainable environment.

According to Galina Rusu, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Research, the investments will have a direct impact on students by providing better study and practical training conditions, which will facilitate their integration into the labor market. "The Ministry of Education and Research will monitor the implementation of the projects to ensure efficient and transparent use of resources", stated Galina Rusu.

The Ministry specifies that the selection of funded projects was based on criteria such as the impact on students, the number of beneficiaries, the achievement rate of the admission plan, and previously allocated financial resources for similar initiatives.
