Nineteen students who tried to cheat in the Baccalaureate exam in the language of study were forced out of the halls. They were examined with the metal detector, which showed that they had mobile phones on them. Crib sheets were also found on them, IPN reports.

Quality Assurance Agency director Anatol Topala told a news conference that the students who tried to copy will be unable to take other exams this session.

Ten students caught copying last year could not find their names on the lists of candidates at the Baccalaureate centers. Anatol Topala said that this happened because of errors made at the education institutions where they studied. He assured that they will be able to take the exam in the additional examination session this year.

Anatol Topala also said that the Ministry of Education regrets that the answers to the test in the language of study appeared on the Internet several minutes after the envelopes were opened. The Ministry requested the competent bodies to identify and penalize those to blame.

In the Romanian language and literature test for students speaking other languages than Romanian on June 3, 12 candidates were banished from the hall because they tried to copy.
