188 grenades discovered in Cahul

Sappers at the Motorized Infantry Brigade Dacia discovered on Monday, December 1, 188 grenades on Mihai Viteazul Street in Cahul town. Searches began after several AG-2 antitank grenades for RPG-2 launchers were detected in the area a couple of days earlier, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Civil Protection Service said in a press release the sappers have detected and removed a total of 964 grenades from the beginning of the scouring operation. Searches are due to continue today. No information about the origin of the munitions has been offered.
