The 180 Moldovan citizens who were to flight to Chisinau by a charter flight from the Czech Republic, but got stuck at the airport on Prague will return home, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea was quoted by IPN as saying.

According to the minister, this wasn’t a problem caused by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Government, but the citizens will be helped to return home.

Discussions were yesterday held with the Czech foreign affairs minister and Moldova’s Embassy in Prague to find solutions to accommodate and feed those Moldovans.

Oleg Țulea noted that the business entity sold tickets for this flight, as for the flight from Paris, without this being authorized by the Commission for Exceptional Situations. “I do not want to believe, but what is going on makes me think that this is done on purpose, with bad intention,” he stated.

On March 30, 220 Moldovans remained stuck at the airport in Paris as the charter flight for which they bought tickets hadn’t been authorized. After over 24 hours spent at the airport, the citizens were taken home by authorized charter flights.
