The Press Monitoring Agency - ActiveWatch and the Romanian Centre for Investigative Journalism issued a protest on Wednesday morning, denouncing the refuse of the authorities in Chisinau to allow the access of several Romanian journalists on Moldova's territory. The organizations demanded the Foreign Ministry to adopt an official attitude in the matter, writes the Romanian news portal HotNews.ro, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. "During the night of 7/8 April, at least 18 journalists circulating from Romania towards Chisinau were stopped and returned from their way from the Galati-Giurgiulesti and the Oancea-Cahul border points. Moldovan authorities failed to offer any legal grounds for the refuse. Moldovan authorities invoked several reasons - the lack of a written invitation, the lack of special medical insurance, the lack of press accreditation from the Moldovan Foreign Ministry, malfunctions of the computer networks. The Romanian consul in Chisinau said he can not offer any support in solving the situation", the released signed by the two organizations reads.
