The police identified 18 citizens of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan who were selling tropical fruits at Chisinau markets without stay and work permits during a series of raids, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from the Ministry of the Interior, the police officers imposed fines of 1,000 to 2,000 lei on each of the offenders. There were made orders obliging them to leave Moldova within 10 calendar days and imposed bans on entering the country for periods of one to three years.
The market administrators were warned to remove the conditions that favor the commission of offenses by foreign citizens.
