A teen aged 17 died in a traffic accident near Rosu village of Cahul district in the morning of September 18.
Contacted by IPN, Ion Rosca, deputy head of the Cahul Police Inspectorate, said a BMW vehicle crashed into an IJ Planeta 4 motorcycle. The teen was a passenger on the motorcycle. He died on the spot. The motorcycle driver aged 36 was hospitalized with brain injury, a concussion and a left shank fracture. The two didn’t wear protection equipment.
According to Ion Rosca, the BMW was driven by an employee of the National Patrolling Inspectorate. An investigation is underway to find out the circumstances of the accident. The patrol inspector faces three to seven years in jail.
