A boy aged 16 died in a road accident near Corlăteni village of Râșcani district. The teen from Câșla village of Telenești district was driving a minibus that he stole from a garage in Corjeuț, Briceni, IPN reports.
In a news conference, the chief of the General Police Inspectorate Viorel Cernăuțeanu said the owner of the minibus is not in Moldova. The police found his brother who confirmed that the door of the garage was broken and the minibus disappeared.
The teen was travelling towards Edineţ district. At a certain moment, he changed lanes and hit laterally a car, crashing then the vehicle into a roadside tree. He died on the spot.
The driver of the car that was struck laterally wasn’t hurt.
In connection with this accident, the police call on the parents to supervise their children and to permanently monitor their activities so as to protect them from eventual dangers.
