Sixteen theater troupes from different countries will perform in the eighth International Festival of Chamber Theaters and Small Format Performances “Moldfest.Rampa.Ru” that will take place at the Theater from the Rose Street in Chisinau starting with November 21, IPN reports.
According to the organizers, the festival will involve actors from Russia, Romania, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Israel, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine. By 3-5 performances and masterclasses intended for everyone will be staged on each day of the festival.
The festival’s artistic director Alina Shishkin told a news conference that debates on the performances played the previous day will be staged every morning throughout the festival. These will involve art critics. “Not all the performances are put on at our theater as it is small and has only two stages. That’s why performances are also presented on the stages of other theaters of the city,” she stated.
Festival coordinator Alexandr Shishkin said this is a nice tradition that the Theater from the Rose Street intends to develop. “Earlier we invited guests to our festival, but now we cope with difficulty with the requests of those who want to take part in this festival in Moldova. This is gladdening,” he said.
The eighth International Festival of Chamber Theaters and Small Format Performances “Moldfest.Rampa.Ru” will last until November 27.
