Sixteen children from the municipality of Chisinau who remained without parental care and who go to the first grade this year will receive by 4,000 lei in assistance from the local authorities.
Contacted by IPN, Ana Cushnir, senior specialist of the Child Rights Protection Division, said that 11 of these children were placed under guardianship, while the other five at specialized centers. Money for purchasing schoolbags, clothing and the necessary school supplies is allocated annually.
As every year, the children will be invited to an event that will be staged at the Chisinau City Hall in August. In it, the legal representatives of the children will be told when and where the money can be collected. The date of the event will be announced later.
