The heat supplier “Termoelectrica” is implementing a plan to modernize the centralized heating system. This envisions the rehabilitation and replacement of about 16 km of heat pipes in the course of this year. This is twice more compared with last year. The works will be completed in the first half of October and are aimed at increasing the efficiency of the heating system, connecting new consumers and offering services of the highest quality round-the-clock, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the joint stock company.
In accordance with the investment plan for 2018, 13 km of heat pipes were to be rehabilitated initially. After a series of discussions and an analysis of the situation at the local level, it was decided to extend the volume of repair works.
“Betides the modernization measures taken so far, we will also rehabilitate six pipeline sections with modern, pre-insulated and energy efficient pipes. These modernizations will help reduce the risk of accidents and technological losses and will enable to connect new consumers and to increase the energy efficiency of the heating system,” said the company’s director general Veaceslav Eni.
A number of 23 heat pipeline sections were modernized during the past four months and 13 more sections are to be rehabilitated by the middle of October. The synthesis of daily works and disconnections are available on www.termoelectrica.md, in the rubrics “For consumers” and “Media”.
