Fifteen passengers of a minibus running on a regular route, who are all citizens of Ukraine, will have to quarantine as the PCR tests for COVID-19 they presented at the Criva – Mamaliga checkpoint on the border with Moldova turned out to be false, IPN reports.

According to the Border Police, there were 15 Ukrainian citizens on the minibus besides the driver. The customs inspectors asked the passengers to provide documents showing that they can avoid self-isolation. Each of the passengers presented by a PCR test for COVID – 19 with the negative result.

The examinations showed the tests were all false as the paper lacked the protection elements, while the scanning of the QR code didn’t enable to see the official data of the medical lab that issued these. The contacted representatives of the medical center in Ukraine denied having issued such tests.

The Ukrainian citizens were allowed to enter the Republic of Moldova after they completed the epidemiological form and signed an own responsibility statement by which they undertook to quarantine.
