15% of the respondents of an opinion poll carried out by the Center for Sociological Investigations and Marketing CBS-AXA said they haven’t yet decided who to vote for in the Governor elections. Most of the respondents prefer candidate Irina Vlah. Nicolae Dudoglo is also supported by those polled, but in a much lower number, IPN reports.

CBS-AXA director Ion Jigau told a news conference that 43.3% of those questioned would vote for Irina Vlah, 15.6% for Nicolae Dudoglo, 4.8% for Valerii Ianioglo, 4.3% for Oleg Garizan, 3.7% for Dumitru Croitor, 2% for Ruslan Garbaly, 1.1% for Alexandru Stoianoglo, while almost 1% said they would vote for someone else.

Some 4.3% of the respondents said they will not take part in elections, while 2.1% said they haven’t yet decided whether they will go or not. 15.1% said they will go to the polls, but do not know who to vote for, while 3% said they will go to cast their ballots and decided who to vote for, but refused to make their option public.

Ion Jigau noted that the people’s options will most probably become clearer in the second round of voting. Irina Vlah has all the chances to win the second round, no matter who her opponent is. She would beat Nicolae Dudoglo with 54.9% of the poll, Valerii Ianioglo with 58.8% and Dumitru Croitor with 59%.

The survey covered a sample of 600 people from the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia. The margin of sampling error is 4%.

The first round of Governor elections in Gagauzia was set for March 22. The second round, if it’s necessary, will be held on April 5. The same day, the constituencies Congaz and Gaidar will elect their representatives to the People’s Assembly of Gagauzia.
