Fifteen garbage trucks of the 30 purchased by the municipality in the framework of the Chisinau Solid Waste Project were delivered to the parking lot of the municipal cleanup company “Autosalubritate”, IPN reports.
In a press release, the company noted that the vehicles were brought from Romania. The rear load garbage trucks have different transportation capacity (13 - 16 m3). They are equipped with modern technology, including for compacting garbage, which makes them more efficient and economical, contributing this way to reducing time and operating costs.
The purchase of the 30 vehicles was financed by the Chisinau City Hall and the international investors EIB, EBRD and E5P.
Over the past six months, “Salubritate” renewed its garbage truck fleet with 29 units.
