As many as 148 new cases of infection with COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova on April 23, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu stated in a press briefing, being quoted by IPN.
One case of infection was imported from Russia, while 147 are local transmission cases. Most of the persons who tested positive for the novel coronavirus are from Chisinau, Orhei and Căușeni.
A number of 792 tests were done on April 23.
The infections with COVID-19 in Moldova now number 2,926. As many as 661 infected persons recovered, while 79 died.
