14 injured in new minibus accident

Fourteen passengers of a minibus running on the Chisinau-Straseni route were hurt in a road accident that happened not far from Siret village on Tuesday evening. The minibus collided with a truck loaded with scarp metal. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Anatol Proca has told Info-Prim Neo that several ambulances traveled to the scene. Seven persons were taken to the Straseni district hospital, while another seven were admitted to the Emergency Hospital in Chisinau. The victims sustained fractures, concussions and contusions. Several days ago, 23 persons, two of whom children, were injured in two traffic accidents involving minibuses in Chisinau. The Traffic Police started to thoroughly inspect the minibuses. A Mercedes car struck a 33-year-old pedestrian not far from the Chisinau municipal hospital No. 1. The man suffered severe brain trauma. An ambulance taking a pregnant woman to the maternity hospital stopped to give first aid. Meanwhile, the called ambulance also arrived.
