A number of persons were rushed to the hospital after a minibus running on the Chisinau-Cahul route collided head-on with a car and then overturned in a ditch. The accident happened near Sociteni village of Ialoveni district on the afternoon of September 22.
Press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu has told IPN that 14 persons were hurt, including the driver, who is in a serious state. Two teams of rescuers travelled to the scene and gave first aid to the victims and performed extrication works. Four ambulances took those hurt to the hospital. These do not include children.
The circumstances of the accident are not yet known. The police are to establish who of the drivers is to blame.
