Thirteen settlements in Causeni and Stefan Voda districts were partially or fully disconnected from the power supply in the afternoon of January 24. Red Union Fenosa sent 76 teams to the settlements to restore the supply. The power supplier assures that all the 13 settlements will have electricity by the end of the day, IPN reports.
In a communiqué, the administration of Red Union Fenosa calls on the population to show understanding in the created force majeure and not to handle damaged wires or branches of trees that touch cables. Any intervention in the electricity network with the aim of restoring the power supply is banned. When the supply of electricity is off, the domestic appliances must be disconnected, while the children must not be left without supervision. Accidents can be reported to the company’s local offices on 022 43 11 11.
Red Union Fenosa announced that it reconnected over 59,000 end-users to the power supply. The emergency teams consisting of about 500 persons will continue to work to remove all the network accidents.
