About 120,000 Moldovan citizens exercised their right to vote in polling stations opened abroad by 03:00 p.m., IPN reports.

“We are happy about this mobilization of citizens, which requires patience and extra effort, given that some of our compatriots have to travel extremely long distances to exercise their right to vote,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

For the presidential election and the national constitutional referendum, 231 polling stations were established in 37 countries, three of them being intended for postal voting

The polling stations abroad are open until 09:00 p.m., the local time in each state.

In the Republic of Moldova, more than 1 million electors voted so far. The voter turnout is over 37%.
