An employee of a health facility, a police officer and waiters of several clubs were arrested on suspicion that they distributed drugs. A number of 12 persons are suspected of being involved in this case, IPN reports.
As a result of searches in the homes and cars of suspects, the police found over 30 grams of heroine, about 2 kg of marijuana and over 150,000 lei earned from selling drugs.
According to prosecutors, the scheme was directed by a police employee who was arrested immediately after he transmitted polyethylene packs with a substance similar to heroine to a person. More than 100,000 lei was found in his luxury car.
The police officer ensured the protection of drug sellers so that they weren’t investigated by officers of other services. The scheme involves persons who were earlier convicted of similar offenses.
The investigation goes on and more persons are to be arrested, including health and education sector employees and businessmen.
