The Central Election Commission instituted administrative proceedings against 12 political parties that didn’t present reports on their financial management for 2016 on time, IPN reports, with reference to a press release of the Commission. The parties risk being fined 9 000 to 15 000 lei. The penalty is imposed on the competent person holding a responsible post.
Among the parties that didn’t present reports on their financial management on time and in the form agreed by the Commission are the Party of Socialists, Moldova’s Patriots Party, Law and Justice Party, Party for Moldova’s Union, New Historical Option Party and Agrarian Party. The fines will be decided by court.
Parties’ financial reports for the first half of 2017 are now being analyzed. The Commission will adopt a decision on these in one of its public meetings.
