Twelve new members of the national football team of Moldova are expected to make their debut in the friendly against the national squad of Kyrgyzstan on June 14. Most of the footballers who played in the match against Poland were allowed to have a short vacation, IPN reports.

“They wanted to stay, but they have to start the training for the new season the next day after the match against Kyrgyzstan, Thus, they wouldn’t have had time to rest. We decided to allow them to go on leave,” Moldova manager Ion Caras said in a news conference on June 10.

Most of the 23 players of the lineup represent teams of the national championship: five are from Rapid Ghidighici, by three from Milsmai Orhei and Academia Chisinau, by two from Dacia and Zimbru Chisinau, by one from Veris Chisinau, Speranta Crihana Veche, Sheriff Tiraspol, and FC Costuleni.

“For some of the players, this match represents a chance to assert oneself. I will know who I will be able to count on in the future. I asked them to treat the adversaries rather seriously as they scored four victories in a row,” said Ion Caras. He added that winning a victory is the main objective in the game against Kyrgyzstan that will be played on Sheriff Stadium in Tiraspol starting at 8pm.
