12 bidders involved in international tender contest announced by “Apa-Canal Chisinau”

The international tender contest to rehabilitate 84 km of water pipelines, including 24 km of water mains, was held. Twelve companies from seven countries, namely Spain, Romania, Turkey, France, Bulgaria, Germany, and Moldova, submitted bids for the contest, IPN reports.

In a communique, the public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” says the works include the replacement of drinking water pipes in residential areas with apartment buildings, in the northwestern and southeastern part of Chisinau, and of water mains.

The bids will be assessed by a commission consisting of local and foreign experts during 120 days. The winning contractors will have 540 days to execute the works, after drawing the execution project.

As many as 205 km of water pipelines, over 3,000 of water mains in apartment buildings and about 15 km of sewage collector are to be rehabilitated by December 2018 within the Priority Investment Program to the value of €64.8 million that is financed by the EBRD and EIB.
