The problems faced by farmers from Dubăsari district were discussed on Friday in Bender, where the second meeting in the “1+1” format this year took place. Chisinau’s chief negotiator, Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebrian stressed the need for Tiraspol to annul the abusive decisions to illegally impose taxes and restrictions that make it difficult for farmers who own farmland beyond the Rybnitsa-Tiraspol road to carry out agricultural works, IPN reports.

In discussions with Tiraspol’s negotiator Vitaly Ignatiev, Oleg Serebrian asked to ensure the smooth transportation of agricultural products, seeds and the necessary equipment to and from the land lots located beyond the Rybnitsa-Tiraspol road.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration reiterated the difficulties faced by the eight Romanian language schools in the Transnistrian region. He requested to solve the problem related to the return and provision of own buildings suitable for the educational process, to reduce the charges for public utilities to the rates of 2023, and to renounce the unauthorized processing of personal data and the practice of issuing summons for keeping military records of students.

The situation of illegal detainees in the Transnistrian region was brought up again. It was repeatedly demanded to unconditionally release, following the example of Victor Pleshkanov, the other citizens of the Republic of Moldova who are illegally imprisoned and persecuted in the region: Alexandru Dimov, Stanislav Menzarari, Vladimir Dudnic, Mihail Ermurachi, Vadim Pogorletskii, A. Malyshev, etc.

As for Tiraspol’s requests regarding the procedure for importing and exporting different categories of goods (medicines, radiological equipment, industrial goods and goods with strategic destination), it was repeatedly explained that the authorization, customs clearance and issuance of relevant decisions for these categories of goods are ensured under equal conditions for all the companies from both banks of the Nistru River, according to the requirements of the normative framework, by meeting the approved security and quality standards.

“Regarding the continuous politicization by Tiraspol’s negotiator of the subject of customs and ecological payments applied in accordance with the provisions of the new legislation of the Republic of Moldova adjusted to European Union standards, it was reminded that these requirements are valid in a uniform and nondiscriminatory manner for all the economic agents from both banks of the Nistru River, which carry out licensed activities, on the basis of permissive documents and by performing commercial operations through the checkpoints of the Republic of Moldova,” the Bureau for Reintegration Policies has said.
