Eleven kindergartens in the municipality of Chisinau stopped work on a temporary basis owing to the shortage of cooks and because the repair works there haven’t been yet finished, IPN reports.
The municipal kindergartens need over 380 educators and 275 educator assistants and sanitary nurses as well as 60 chefs and auxiliary cooks and 41 dishwashing persons.
By September 5, only 31 teachers who recently graduated from higher and vocational teacher training education institutions accepted to work in kindergartens.
The early education system of Chisinau municipality includes 159 preschool education institutions that are attended by about 38,000 children. In Chisinau City, there are 131 kindergartens, while 28 are situated in the localities that form part of the municipality.
