107 minors brought to Temporary Placement Center in one month

During one month 107 minors were brought to the Chisinau Police Commissariat's Temporary Placement Center. Following police raids, these minors were found begging, vagabonding or drinking. Sergiu Moscalenco, spokesperson for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said the files of these minors will be submitted to the Children's Rights Commission to decide on what penalties should be imposed on their parents. In these period the police visited at home around 2,000 minors registered with the police for earlier misdemeanors as well as over 700 families with low educational potential. Some 300 tickets were issued to parents failing to honor their educational and other parental obligations.
