The National Employment Agency, together with its local bodies, offers about 10,000 jobs in different areas of activity. The number of officially registered unemployed persons now stands at 22,000. Almost 4,000 jobs are available in the municipality of Chisinau, while about 800 in Balti. There are by only 30 vacancies in the districts of Telenesti, Taraclia and Dubasari, IPN reports.
Some 78% of the vacant jobs are intended for specialists with secondary professional education and for unskilled workers.
Almost 3,000 jobs are offered in the textiles industry and ready-made clothes sector, of tailors, weavers and seamstresses. Over 700 of the vacancies are intended for welders, electricians and locksmiths, about 600 for mechanics, 170 for building sector workers, while 180 for service sector employees, such as hairdressers, letter carriers and dispatchers.
The persons with higher and secondary education can apply for about 2,000 vacancies. There are available about 400 posts of inspector, over 300 jobs for health professionals and more than 200 jobs for education specialists.
