1,000 lei to Chisinau couples celebrating golden wedding

Fifteen couples from Chisinau who celebrated the golden wedding anniversary on February 25 received by 1,000 lei, put their signatures in the Anniversaries Book and danced waltz alongside their children and grandchildren. The money was provided by the Chisinau City Hall and the Registry Office, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the City Hall. As many as 2,873 Chisinau couples have marked their golden weddings so far. Also, 57 persons celebrated 100 years and more of their birth. Every couple that submits an application to celebrate the golden wedding anniversary is offered by 1,000 lei in financial assistance. The persons who turn 100 receive by 5,000 lei on the 100th and the next birthdays.
