The Chisinau police announced they made five arrests in connection with a fight near the Agrarian University dormitories last night, which resulted in the death of one student and sent three others into hospital.
The police said they handcuffed five Chisinau men, ages ranging from 24 to 29, who behaved aggressively during the arrest. The fight reportedly broke out after an exchange of harsh words between the arrested and another group of young men. In the ensuing brawl, a 21-year-old was deadly injured and didn't live to see the ambulance.
The five suspects face from 12 to 15 years in prison.
The Ministry of Education confirmed the victim was a student at the Agrarian University.
