An increase in the number of infections with COVID-19 was reported in Moldova. As many as 271 new cases were confirmed on January 11, 476 new cases on January 12, while the figure for January 13 is 808. The updated data were presented by the Ministry of Health in a news conference, IPN reports.
A number of 8,269 infections were recorded among children. The children aged between 11 and 17 are the most susceptible ones. Among pregnant women, the figure stands at 686 cases.
Moldova so far has got 150,900 cases of COVID-19. Of these, 7,500 are active cases and 214 infected persons are in a very serious state.
A total of 584,500 tests were done so far. As many as 3,193 infected persons succumbed to COVID-19.
