New trolleys to be assembled by next week
The first five new trolleybuses will have been assembled by July 17, when Chisinau marks 576 years since its first documented mention (July 17, 1436). The announcement was made by the director of the Chisinau Trolleybus Company Gheorghe Morgoci, at a City Hall meeting, reports Info-Prim Neo.
Gheorghe Morgoci said that the assembling of the first trolley would starts today, and all five will be assembled in a week.
The Chisinau City Hall promised that, by the end of this year, at least ten new locally-assembled trolleys will circulate. The body and main elements will be shipped from Belarus, and the engines and electric systems from Russia.
Trolley reach Chisinau having a body and chassis, but with an engine and electronic system. At the first stage of assembly, according to the agreement with Belarus partners, most of the work will be done in Minsk and a small amount will be done in Chisinau. Gradually, the ratio will invert.
