Some 200 children of pre-school age in Hansca village, Ialoveni district, will be able to go to a new kindergarten that will be built as an attachment to the village school. The 1.5 million lei project will be funded from money offered by the Government of Romania, the Moldovan Government announced in a press release.
Elena Mosneguta, the institution's director, said that today over 20 children attend the pre-school class that is accommodated by an improvised room in the school. Other children were left out of pre-school education because the village has lacked a kindergarten for the last two decades.
Visiting Hansca village, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca stated he is glad that the money which Moldova received from the Romanian friends will be used to solve this problem of the village.
In total, Ialoveni district will receive 16 million lei from the aid offered by the Romanian Government to modernize 45 kindergartens, 19 of which will be repaired or reconstructed, and the others will be furnished. The team of experts hired by the Moldovan Social Investment Fund are expected to complete this week the assessment of the facilities in Ialoveni district and the works will start in a month.
