The program will start with an official meeting in the Independence Square on August 27, attended by district and town leaders, who will then lay flowers at the monument of poet Grigore Vieru in the homonym park. An exhibition of craftsmanship and art students will also be organized. The day will end with a concert by Nelly Ciobanu and Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici. On Sunday, August 29, the Hora Square will host a concert by Romanian flute master Gheorghe Zamfir.

The Romanian Language Day, on August 31, will begin with an exhibition of craftsmanship, works by art students and the participation of the “Andrei Ciurunga” district library. The festivities will continue with a show by the children's fanfare from Vadul lui Isac, poetry and songs dedicated to the Romanian language and a concert of the folkloric ensemble “La fantana dorului” from Mures county, Romania.
