Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman will be on a working visit to the U.S. on September 18 - September 20, IPN reports.
As a special invitee, Natalia Gherman will open the conference dedicated to the International Day of Democracy and will take part in the debates centering on the Eastern Partnership, organized under the aegis of the European Institute. She will also attend a roundtable meeting staged at the Atlantic Council.
The program of the visit includes meetings at the Department of State and the National Security Council. The minister will have a meeting with the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner, co-chairmen of the Group of Political Support for Moldova of the U.S. legislature and other influential members of both houses of the Congress.
During her visit, Natalia Gherman will also give an interview and will meet with representatives of the community of Moldovans in the United States.
