Vera Glijin, the mother of Adrian Glijin, who was kidnaped in Cuzmin village of the Transnistrian region last October, said that for eight months she has been unable to find something about the state of health of her son. She knows only that he is held in Tiraspol, but does not know details of his indictment and his detention conditions, IPN reports.

In a news conference staged by Promo-LEX Association, Vera Glijin said her son was kidnapped on October 7 by five persons with balaclavas from a meadow where he was pasturing their cows. “After eight months, I do not know anything about his state of health. I didn’t see and didn’t hear him. I know nothing about his state of health. I asked that he should be visited by an independent doctor, but didn’t get any response,” said the woman.

She noted that she monthly sends letters to the authorities, but the few responses she received are negative. In most of the cases, she is told that the criminal case started against her son is secret and she cannot know details. Even the lawyer named by Tiraspol does not furnish her with information.

Vera Glijin also said she knows only that her son is in Tiraspol and she weekly goes to this city to take products and clothes to her son. After she gives these things, she gets a signature showing that her son received the parcel. She could not obtain a meeting with her son as reasons related to the pandemic are invoked.

Vera Glijin called on the constitutional authorities to intervene and help her release her son. As she is a teacher, she asked that the computer that was seized from their apartment on October 8, 2020 should be returned to her.
