Moldovagaz in December will supply 166.5 million cubic meters of natural gas to consumers on the left side of the Nistru and to Moldavskaya GRES (Kuchurgan Powered Plant) for producing electricity, as the Commission for Exceptional Situations decided. The authorities argued all the consumers in Moldova need to be supplied with energy resources following the 56.5% cut in the supply of gas to Moldova by Gazprom, IPN reports.
The Commission also decided to transfer in advance the financial resources needed for paying subsidies for heat for December 2022 – February 2023 to SA “Termoelectrica”. The supplier estimated the necessary amount at about 200 million lei. The money will be transferred by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection from the Energy Vulnerability Reduction Fund.
The period during which SA Energocom will be able to purchase electrical energy based on direct negations was extended until March 2023.
To replenish its firewood stores, Moldsilva Agency will sign direct contracts for the sale and purchase of firewood with the Romsilva National Forest Administration. Later, the firewood will be distributed to local forestry companies, depending on the number of applications from the population. National and foreign NGOs are allowed to sell firewood to socially deprived groups, families or placement centers that shelter refugees. To ensure the firewood is sold at a lower price, the import of firewood will be exempted from paying import duties and for phytosanitary services.
