Moldovan partners are to assure the allocation of plots, implementation of the technologic process, as well as offering labour force. The Project also provided the significant extension of the agricultural surfaces for environmentally friendly plantations up to several tens of hectares.
The mentioned project is the first of the kind, spurring the process of wooing investments in the development of ecologic agriculture in Moldova.
At present 11,000 ha of agricultural plots are registered as ecologic ones, out of the total of about 1.6 mln of the existent agricultural plots. This year, there are solicitations for registering other 3000 ha in this sense.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry analyses the possibility of creating a special fund from the import of pesticides and fertilisers in order to increase allocations for subsidising producers of ecologic food.
At the same time, this year the state will subsidise by MDL 2 mln the ecologic production. From 800 to 900 lei will be allotted from the Subsidising Fund for each hectare of land, cultivated with ecologic products.
