Mihai Ghimpu: PCRM paid people to vote for its candidates

The Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu told a press briefing on Tuesday he has evidence that the Communist Party (PCRM) paid many young people to vote for their candidate Igor Dodon. “We observed the law in the election campaign and did not share rice and pasta as the PCRM,” said Mihai Ghimpu, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Mihai Ghimpu stated that he expects the paid persons will give testimony. According to him, several persons admitted that they have been paid by the PCRM. In another development, the Liberal leader said he was satisfied with the results achieved by the Liberal Party in the local elections. As to the capital city, Ghimpu is sure that Dorin Chirtoaca will emerge victorious in the second round of voting. The party will accept any kind of aid from the colleagues from the ruling alliance, not yet financial. They will organize the election campaign by themselves as it is not so costly now, said Mihai Ghimpu.
