A man in his 50s died after he was hit by a freight minibus on Calea Basarabiei St in Chisinau at about 10am on September 21, IPN reports.
Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Andrian Jovmir has told IPN that the victim was jaywalking and died immediately after he was struck violently. The minibus driver is 45.
Andrian Jovmir said the scene was isolated for examinations and the vehicles in the area move with difficulty.
