The leader of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” Andrei Nastase and the head of the Party “Action and Solidarity Maia Sandu assure that they didn’t give up the idea of providing a common candidate for the presidential elections and are ready to concede to each other, depending on the results of the two polls they commissioned earlier. The two made such statements in the talk show “Interpol” on TV 7 channel, IPN reports.
Andrei Nastase said that he will not break his word and if Maia Sandu is chosen to run, he will call on his supporters to vote her. “We have confidence in each other. Each of my steps is being followed. We will make effort to identify a common candidate,” he stated.
The politician also said that if he wins the presidential elections, he will not renounce the partnership with the Party “Action and Solidarity”.
Maia Sandu is also ready to concede in favor of Nastase. “I made a commitment and will fulfill it. The one who will concede will gain as the people will see that there are politicians who keep their promises. Our partnership will not end here. The parliamentary elections follow,” she said.
The two political leaders noted that their goal is not to allow the presidential electrons to be won by the candidate of the government or according to geopolitical criteria.
