Kindergarten no. 7 in Râșcani modernized with Japan’s support

Kindergarten no. 7 in Râșcani city was modernized with the support of Japan within the “Kusanone” Program. The Japanese government offered a grant of almost 91 thousand dollars. With this money, thermal insulation works were carried out on the exterior walls, a group room and the music hall were renovated, and water heaters were installed.

Japan’s ambassador to Moldova Yamada Yoichiro said at the project completion ceremony that together with the European Union, Moldova will be able to make the most of its formidable human resources potential, like never before. “As soon as Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine ends, we will see the real rebirth of Moldova”, the official was quoted as saying in a press release.

The project contributed to increasing the safety and health protection of the 127 children, 32 educators and technical staff in the kindergarten and to increasing the energy efficiency of the building.

The human security grant program Kusanone was launched in Moldova in 2008. To date, Japan has provided more than 6.9 million dollars in grant funding for 82 projects in the fields of education, health and public utilities.
