The Government of the Republic of Moldova made progress in the relationship with the International Monetary Fund and should now focus on the unblocking of the EU financial assistance, the candidate for President Iurie Leanca stated in the program “Reply” on Prime TV channel, IPN reports.
The leader of the European People’s Party of Moldova said that immediately after the IMF signs the memorandum with the Republic of Moldova, our authorities must persuade the EU to unblock the financing intended for Moldova. For the purpose, an assessment is needed to see what else should be yet done.
Iurie Leanca also said that the Republic of Moldova needs a national project that would be aimed at improving the living conditions of the population. “We need a national project to improve the living standards. I had meetings with people in different communities. They complained about the living conditions and the low salaries,” he stated.
The politician noted that the European integration is the only solution that can ensure higher living standards for the Moldovans.
