The European Union does not impose conditions and cannot ague against the signing of agreements, including free trade ones, by Moldova with other states or unions if these documents do not run counter to the Association Agreement with the EU, Head of the EU Delegation in Chisinau Pirkka Tapiola stated in a meeting with President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, in the meeting the interlocutors referred to the signing of the memorandum of cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and the Eurasian Union and the eventual obtaining by Moldova of the status of observer to this Union. The subject is to be discussed in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Bishkek on April 14.
President Dodon reiterated the position that Moldova should have good relations both with the partners from the West and with those from the East, noting that the interests of the people and national producers will be protected and promoted.
