The German Silent Film Festival will take place in Tiraspol and Chisinau on April 11-14. Within the event organized by the Embassy of Germany, there will be shown classical movies from the collection of the 1920s, IPN reports.
The festival will open with the film “The Beggar from Cologne Cathedral” by Rolf Randolf. It will be screened at the Tiraspol Movie Theatre in Tiraspol on April 11 and at the Odeon Movie Theatre in Chisinau.
The event will go on with “Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror”, which is a horror film masterpiece of Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau. The movie will be shown at Odeon on April 13. The film “Golem: How He Came Into the World”, directed by Paul Wegener and Carl Boese, will close the festival at Odeon.
All the movies start at 6pm and will be accompanied by live music sung by pianist Calin Grigoriu. Entrance is free of charge.
