The first Martsishor Fair will be officially opened today in the square of the National Palace “Nicolae Sulac” in central Chisinau, IPN reports, with reference to the Ministry of Culture.
Those interested can visit the fair between 4pm and 8pm on weekdays and from 10am until 8pm on the weekend. They will be able to buy martsishors and also clay, skin and wood articles and traditional dishes. The participants in the fair were selected according to the principle of authenticity of works.
During March 1-10, the concerts given inside the National Palace will be broadcast live on a LED screen set up on the fair’s ground.
The event was to be inaugurated on February 24, but was put off owing to the situation in Ukraine.
